I personally find it impressive and special that our nephew clearly expressed his choice at a young age to donate organs after his death, not knowing that that was something he would be doing shortly afterwards. We have seen what this was like for the parents and sister, the granting of the wish. But also how special it is for the recipients who thus regained a "relatively'' healthy life. I am also a donor and now support it 100%. Despite the great sadness of loss, there is also something beautiful behind it for everyone. But both parties have a special inexplicable bond with each other. Our nephew won't come back, but will partly live on in this world. I think that's very special and beautiful! His wish fulfilled, we continue to talk about it and keep him alive in our conversations.
