''DONATING AN ORGAN IS LIKE STILL LIVING IN THE BODY OF ANOTHER, AND ALLOWING ANOTHER TO OVERCOME HIS DEATH. IT'S LIKE GIVING BIRTH TO A NEW LIFE, IT HAS THE CREATIVE ACT WITHIN IT.''

A co-worker of mine had a liver transplant more than ten years ago. At the beginning it was difficult for him, he had to be very careful and take a large amount of medicines. Afterwards he got better and now he leads a normal life. He married his second wife and for a long period he enjoyed family affection.

I was able to see firsthand that organ donation can allow you not only to continue living, but also to have a more than reasonable quality of life. It also showed me the importance of continue to hope, to live fully, without thinking that the end of life may be very close.

Donating an organ is like still living in the body of another, and allowing another to overcome his death. It's like giving birth to a new life, it has the creative act within it.
