I've had a double lung transplant and I'm very grateful for my donor and the relatives. I still find it impressive that the greatest gift of your life is given to you selflessly by a stranger.

By being a donor you can make a fellow human being extremely happy. Your organs are no longer of any use to you, so why not give them away? Especially if you would also like a donor organ when you only have one choice: death or transplant.

That is why I am a donor myself because I want someone to be able to continue living with my organs if they are no longer of any use to me.
